5 Luxury Car Brand Armored Models

Most people probably don’t think of luxury cars as safe places to hide but these models will make you think twice. Here are five luxury car makers and the Troy Armoring armored security vehicle models they sell.

MERCEDES S600 Pullman State Limousine

Massive in size, the Mercedes S600 Pullman State Limousine is quite inconspicuous for an armored vehicle—as no onlooker would probably ever guess that this is a protection service vehicle.  Even after knowing that an already long and ever growing list of celebrities and political figures have chosen this as their mode of transportation throughout history, you still might realize the reason.  Indeed, the Pullman has been the mobile escort of choice for everyone from Elizabeth Taylor to Fidel Castro, Elvis Presley to Idi Amin.

ROLLS ROYCE Phantom VI Limousine

Rolls Royce is the premier vehicle brand, with a name that is basically synonymous with luxury.  Part of that luxury comes from secrecy so not much information has been released about the Phantom VI (or any Rolls Royce model, to be honest).  We do know that it might look like a stately drive, but inside is one of the safest places you can sit, thanks to the exterior made of Kevlar and fashioned by the company to meet specific customer needs.

BENTLEY Mulsanne

If Rolls Royce had a luxury cousin, it would be the Bentley and the Mulsanne mode is no divergent. Of course, it is different because it is equipped with armor made by the Mulliner Division (the very same company who builds armored cars for Queen Elizabeth). This carriage can protect those inside from high powered gun fire as well as both explosives and chemical assault.  Perhaps more importantly, it can also go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.1 seconds.

PORSCHE Panamera 4.6 V8 Turbo

Porsche vehicles are as stunning as they are fast but the Panamera also happens to be one of the best-armored vehicles on the market.  In addition to superior exterior protection, this car has 3mm of ballistics steel added to the floor and the roof.

Made by Cadillac, “the Beast” is what [now former] President Barack Obama travels in when moving around town.  Essentially this modified limousine is a bunker on wheels. With armor like a tank (one of the doors weighs as much as a door on a Boeing 747), this mobile safe house also has added seal protection from potential gas attacks. It even has a supply of the president’s blood, on hand, just in case!
